My Story

Our Owner - Sherri Fishman

My passion for creating pretty things and building a business began at a very young age. As a child, I loved designing outfits, sketching out ideas, crafting and even started selling candy in school. That entrepreneurial spark carried me through to my studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I graduated in 1992 with degrees in both Merchandise Management and Fashion Buying and Merchandising.

From there, I spent years working in sales management in New York’s Garment Center and later co-owned a trims and packaging business with my husband, Scott. Along the way, I followed my creative instincts and launched All Star Princess, a line of handmade hair accessories and boutique items sold to upscale boutiques in New York and New Jersey.

After raising my children, Alexa and Corey, I felt a renewed pull toward creativity and connection. Friends and family often commented on the unique, imaginative parties I hosted at home, which inspired me to turn that passion into a business. That’s when Social Code for Kids was born, bringing parties and destination events directly to families, along with a fun, interactive manners program I designed.

My next chapter was owning Soirée NJ, home to The Summit Soirée and The Madison Soirée, where I proudly planned over 1000 parties, events, summer camps, and manners classes.

The Dainty Den

The Dainty Den is my newest and most heartfelt creation — a magical little space built with love and shaped by everything I’ve learned along the way.

The word “Dainty” reflects the delicate, whimsical touches that make every detail special — from sparkling vintage décor to sweet crafts and gifts. “Den” represents a cozy, safe hangout where friendships bloom and memories are made.

The Dainty Den is more than just a party space. It’s a place where girls and ladies alike can feel celebrated, confident, and inspired. Whether it’s a birthday bash, a glamorous tea party, or a creative crafting day, The Dainty Den transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary celebrations.

This dream has been built with love, creativity, and everything I’ve learned along the way — and I can’t wait to see where this journey goes! 💖
